THE CHAUDRON is situated on the D744 in the village of Chantemerle.
It is about 10km from Chataigneraie, 6km from Moncoutant and 5km from L’Absie respectively.
It is run by Benoit the French owner.
We can be found at The Chaudron twice a month – on the first and third Thursday.
We start taking orders from 18H00 and serve from 18H30 – 21H00
There is a bar area, a quiz area and an outside terrace where meals can be enjoyed in the sun.
A recently constructed arbour is a lovely addition to the front of the bar on which a climbing wisteria is being trained.

There is a Fun Quiz (in English) on the evenings that we are there - starting at 20H30.
Join in if you wish to – 2euros per person – maximum of 6 players in a team.

ENGLISH BOOK SALE
On the first Thursday of the month there is an English Book Sale.
Jan arrives with her van packed full of books, mostly second hand paperback novels.
She sets them out alphabetically for you to peruse and choose - not to be missed!
